Help needed with auto shutdown script.

Added by Paul Hey over 6 years ago

Having followed the tutorial here:

https://tvheadend.org/boards/4/topics/15826

And acquainted myself with the basics of systemd services, I believe I have the script executing and running(as root) at boot - the only problem being that the system is not shutting down!

I am running 4.2.6-1~g7422018, and have used second script suitable for TVH 3.5 and above, and the only modifications made are to enter my TVH username and password. Both curl and netstat appear to be the latest versions. I am using Ubuntu server 16.04 which is fully up to date.

I can view the script in either webmin or via top in the terminal, both of which confirm that it is running.

Info on this subject seems a little thin on the ground, and even the tutorial thread is 3 years old now, so maybe the script is out of date for the version I am using?

Is there any way I can get more info as to why I'm not seeing the system shutdown? I should add that there are no connections open to the server, either TVH, Samba or SSH.

Many thanks.

I re-copied the script and now it works - maybe I used the wrong one by mistake, who knows!

Anyway, I can confirm that it works with 16.04.
