Audio jumps and audio/video sync problems on DVB-T2
Added by Avshalom Avraham over 6 years ago
Hi!
I am using Tvheadend on Raspberry pi 3 with LibreElec. I live in Israel.
I have used tvheadend to watch channels on DVB-T and it worked great for years.
Now there are new channels broadcasting on DVB-T2 on frequency 530MHz (in my area) so I searched for them and found them with tvheadend.
The problem is that the new channels probably have different encoding or something because the audio and video are not synced.
Also, there is an audio break/jump/high pitch noise every 2-3 seconds which makes the channels unwatchable.
The new channels include both HD and SD channels and the problem is the same for both resolutions.
The problem is the same on every device connected to the server. not only the RPI3.
Tried to use the usb tuner on windows environment with VLC and other PVR software and the channels worked great!! even created a PVR backend server on my Windows machine and connected from the RPI3 and the stream was perfect.
I think it's a problem with tvheadend encoders/decoders. not really sure.
BTW, I bought licenses for MPEG2 and VC1 for the Raspberry pi just in case. no luck.
Here is the technical specifications of the DVB-T2 network from the israeli network website:
hope it helps.
I can take a video of my problem if I wasn't understood. just ask.
Update: when I download the playlist through the adress http:......:9981/playlist and play it on VLC it plays perfectly! server is on the rpi and client is on windows. there are some weird half transparent squares on the screen but the sound is good.
