TVH 4.2.4 - One RTL2832 tuner out of two dies..
Added by Anders Gustafsson over 6 years ago
I am not sure when this started happening as one will not be aware, unless recording from multiple tuners..I have a setup with 4 tuners:
Bus 004 Device 005: ID 0bda:2838 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL2838 DVB-T
Bus 004 Device 004: ID 0bda:2838 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL2838 DVB-T
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 15f4:0131 HanfTek (astrometadvbt2)
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 2013:025f PCTV Systems (292)
What happens is that one of the RTL tuners hangs at random and produces i2c errors (-19). When that happens something happens to USB as well as an lsusb will just hang. Rebooting fixes it.
So, what can be the cause?
How do I know what tuner in TVHeadend, corresponds to what stick?

OK. Scared to do so in case other things break, but I guess I will just have to bite the bullet.

Upgraded from OpenSuSE 42.1 to 42.3. Let's see if there is any difference
