Confiruration broken
Added by Wolfgang Buesser over 6 years ago
I had tvheadend running on a Centos 7 host for many months without problems.
Now suddenly it stop working: No more muxes found.
The tuners still work fine with vdr.
I am trying to reconfigure everything for ASTRA 19.2 but can't get it to work:
1)I have 2 PCI DVB-S tuners. I am using only one to start with.
This tuner is connected to a multiswitch providing to many flats.
I guess I need to configure the TV-adapter as 4-port switch (universal LNB)?
2)I guess I need to assign the same network to all 4 (AA, AB, BA, BB)?
3)I create a single network named DVB-S with ORIBTAL-POSITION 19.2E : Astra 1KR/1L/1M/1N
and Predefined-Muxes > 19.2E:Astra
4)If I then switch to MUXES I get a single entry at 12551500
I can even display this program: Bible-TV that's all I get.
What am I getting wrong? No entry in /var/log/messages except:
tvheadend1221: tbl-eit: eit: 12551.5V in DVB-S: invalid checksum (len 1017, errors 7)
I am lost

Stick to single universal lnb if you only receive one satellite.
Don't rely on the pre-defined muxes they are way out of date. You usually only need to enter one if you have mux "network" discovery enabled/set to new and changed muxes, and the mux has NIT data.
Add a mux from here and see if that helps. You must still set the orbital position.

Thanks!
It turns out that with me revision
tvheadend.x86_64 0:4.2.6-6~g66f0b95.el7.centos is broken.
The tuner-cards do not get activated (no DC on antenna-inputs, STA-finder does not start).
After returning to
tvheadend.x86_64 0:4.2.5-49~g8973d48.el7.centos and replaying my entire config
everything is fine.
Just for curiosity: What is the orbital position info used for?
Frequency, modulation and polarisation should do?
