Service Mapper - services ignored
Added by Saul Peebsen over 6 years ago
This is driving me nuts. Why are the services ignored? Where can I see the reason? There are 11 channels that work and yet I cannot see them because when I run Map Services they are ignored. Shall I file a bug?

More information is needed.
Source type?
Steps taken?

Source: ATSC, OTA channels.
Steps: Force scan, Map All Services
Result: No channels added, 11 services are ignored. Why?! I can watch those channels using other software.
Using latest version from git. Frontend is Kodi 17.6.

More than likely they're being incorrectly marked as being encrypted (by your provider) even though they aren't, enable "map encrypted". or disable "check service availability".

Enabled "Map encrypted", disabled "check service availability". 11 channels ignored, no reason given. Where can I see the reason? Is there a conf file I can edit by hand? As I said, it is driving me nuts. The channels are there, working, but Tvheadend decides not to show them to me and does not tell why.

I assume the services are listed in "Services"? If so, pick a service that doesn't map correctly (make sure it's playing), then - while still in the Services tab - click the info icon. It should look something like this..
If you don't see any codec types (ignoring PMT, PCR) then the service is a dummy or not broadcasting.
If you DO see codec types, please open an issue, describe what's going on/link to this thread and include a mux sample (of about 30 seconds) using wget. wget a play link from the muxes tab - make sure to pick a mux that has this issue.
