Problems with DiseqC 1.1
Added by maverick 757 over 6 years ago
Hey Guys!
I am running TVH now for a while and I'm really happy with it so far. A few days ago I bought two additional tuners and installed a new TVH server on a Ubuntu Server LTS at my parents home.
There is Wavefrontiert Torodial T90 Satellite Dish with 13 LNB (pointing all Orbital Positions from 1° West up to 42° East).
I have the following setup:
3 x 4 to 1 DiseqC multiswich
1 x Spaun SUR420F 4 to 1 DiseqC 1.1 Multiswitch
1 x Intel NUC running Ubuntu Server and TVH 4.2.6 stable
2 x USB DVB-S2 tuner (DVBsky S960 V2)
The main Satellite position is Astra 19,2° East. A cable from my Multiswitch is connect to port 1 of the SUR420F. The ports 2,3 and 4 of the SUR420F DiseqC 1.1 switch are connected to the three regular DiseqC 4 to 1 multiswitches, so that the other 12 satellite positions are feeded in.
This setup has been working so far without any problems (I used severeal Enigma2 Linux STB's).
My tuner settings on my enigma2 STB were as follows:

The first DVBsky 960V2 tuner with only Astra 19,2° East (connected directly to the multiswitch) is working like a charm. The second DVBsky 960V2 however has some problems. For the beginning I wanted to start with only 2 satellite positions (Astra 19,2° East and Astra 28,2° East since I use these the most).
I started by changing the satellite config for the tuner with the DiseqC devices to "Advanced". In the new "Advanced" menu I set the number of orbital positions to "2" (see attached images "General Tuner Settings" and "Advanced Tuner settings").
I then added both networks (19,2 East und 28,2 East, see attached image "Networks").
Afterwards I edited the two new LNB settings in the tuner Menu (see attached images "LNB settings 19,2 1", "LNB settings 19,2 2", "LNB settings 28,2 1" and "LNB settings 28,2 2").
So far everything worked quite good. But when I force-searched the 28,2 East network, it found no channels that are available on that position. Strangely it found several channels, which are available on the 19,2 East position (see attached images "Muxes" and "Channels").
I have already tried it with only one USB tuner attached - same results. Can anybody give me a hint on this?
Kind regards,

RE: Problems with DiseqC 1.1 - Added by maverick 757 over 6 years ago
Short update:
I removed the cable from the 4th input of my SUR420F (Astra 28,2E is attached to the DiseqC 1.0 device on Port BB of that Cable) and attached it directly to my USB tuner. I changed the satellite config of that USB tuner to "4-port Switch" and the settings of the LNB 4-port switch to "BB" -> Astra 28,2E and performed a search. I find all channels on that satellite now.
But as soon as I reconnect the cable to the SUR420F and the output of the SURF420F to my USB tuner I can't find any channels.
DiseqC 1.0 seems to be working without any problems, but DiseqC 1.1 isn't at all.
Kind regards,
