Changing filename output so that it is easily picked up by Kodi
Added by A L over 6 years ago
I am trying to change TVHeadend's recording output, so that the resulting filename can easily be picked up by Kodi.
I need to set up the default profile for TV Shows, plus an additional profile for Movies.
What I don't quite get is why there are options for adding subtitles, title etc. as well as the ability to specify these with modifiers.
Which takes preference?

Try changing the file name pattern to: $t/$t$-e$-s$n.$x
This will put each series in its own folder, and then individual files will me named according to how Kodi's default scraper expects filenames.

Thank you - that is just what I am after.
So am I correct in thinking that:
1. If you leave the format string at default, then the check boxes override the default with additional options; but
2. If you manually modify the string, the check boxes stop applying, regardless of whether they are checked or not?
