Service moved, new one not found
Added by Mike Someone almost 7 years ago
Hi,
I’m based in the UK. I am using TVHeadend for freeview, recently a channel has moved frequencies, doing a rescan on one of my TVs finds the new channel and all is good. Doing a scan on TVHeadend only lists the old service (removed service and channel before scan). If I look directly at the services on my tuners (2x HDHomeruns) the channel is listed correctly but does appear several times, one being the new and one being the old.
Is TVHeadend hiding services with duplicate names, if so can this setting be disabled? I have also built a test TVHeadend sever (both Ubuntu 16.04LTS) and this behaves in the same way so it doesn’t appear that something has got stuck or it is finding the old because it knows it had it before.
Many Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

That'll be the BBC Four HD move from COM7 to COM8 then (but oddly not for CBeebies HD with same move)? Under DVB Inputs/Services, change the Hide dropdown from Parent Disabled to None to see all.

Hi,
That drop down doesn’t appear to have any effect, if I set it to any of the options I still only have 164 services listed, even selecting hide all, they are all still visible.
Thanks

Hi,
Just to update, I have resolved this problem, looks like my transmitter has a new frequency of 586. I have added this and am now able to all the channels.
