Limit streaming duration?

Is there a way to limit the duration of a streaming connection? My family tends to just turn off the TV and walk away, leaving the stream running and tying up a tuner.

What about CEC option on TV and STB

That might work locally, I'll have to see if Fire TV will let me shut down when the TV is turned off.

When they are streaming remotely using Plex or Emby, I don't have control. I was looking for a timeout value within Tvheadend.
