Last official production release for Synology
Added by Dan Voller almost 7 years ago
Hello
Using tvheadend 4.0.8, which is the "official" last release for Synology DiskStations, Jaroslav Kysela told me that 4.0 isn't supported anymore.
Your link to Synology on https://www.tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/download shows, that under http://syno.dierkse.nl/ only 4.0.8-1 is avaliable als last production release. All other versions 4.1 to 4.4 there are avaliable under the label "Testing"!
So what to do now to get the fully supported last production version for Synology DiskStations?
Thanks,
Dan

4.1 is what became release-4.2.
4.3 is what will become 4.4.
Not sure why those packages are named like that.

Even the given address [email protected] there doesn't exist anymore (NDR comes back). Don't know, why this is the only address for Synology packages.
Also the packages at http://www.tvheadend.org/boards/5/topics/27780 are mentioned "beta" releases. I don't want to use testing or beta packages, which are not compatible to release packages. So there's no real source offering new final supported releases for the big Synology community, isn't it?

The SynoCommunity repository has much more current Tvheadend packages built. I'm not sure they're at 4.2.5 yet, but they are at least 4.2.4.
