grabbing EPG eating memory?

I'm seeing memory leaks with 4.2 and 4.3. I've been doing some tests and if I disable all EPG grabs then memory usage is very stable around 0.3% of my installed RAM (12gig).
As soon as I enable tv_grab_zz_sdjson or tv_grab_file and do some EPG grabs I'm left with 9.2% of memory used. I've seen it continue to grow until finally the system kills it. It sure seems like there is some problem spawning a grabber.
Sorry I don't have more information now but I'll continue trying to find more info.
I've now installed tvh 4.2.4 outside of docker on my ubuntu 17.04 system. after doing an epg grab using tv_grab_zz_sdjson tvh is now using 10% memory and it never goes down. Something about grabbing epg is losing memory.
