Config tab is not visible
Added by Basi Rapi almost 7 years ago
Since yesterday the "config tab" is not visible anymore . Version of TVheadend 3.4.27-6 working on a synology ds713+.
This setup worked perfectly for me since years. I have restartet TVheadend but without success. The "config tab" is not visible.

It looks like your configuration has barfed.
Do you have a config backup?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I don't have a config backup.
Also amazing for me, when I open now the web-UI, normaly I was asked for a user and password. Since yesterday no user and password is required.
In the past the user and the password I had to fill in during the login procedure.
Is there another way, w/o a config backup?

3.4 is a very old release, I believe there are newer versions available for the Synology :).

You are right, but it work so perfect for years... If there is an easy work aroud, I would try that first before I setup a new system.

Do you change user access?
Use admin backdoor.

Thanks for your reply and no I didn't change the user access.
My problem is, so I think, that the web-ui don't "ask" me during the login procedure for the user and password. So, in my opinion, I'm logged in with the standard user without rights for the config.
I had defined two users in the past: one standard user without config rights and one admin with config rights.
How can I use the admin backdoor in that case?

check from other browser or by cleaning cookies
superuser file in config root
{ "username": "user", "password": "password" }
or run tvheadend with -C

Many thanks for the possible solutions.
I tried every browser without success. Also the path http://user....9981 doesn't work.
So I focused on the last topic with the "superuser". A few readed threads later I found out, that due to the fact, that tvheadend is installed on Synyology NAS it is not so easy with the superuser.
Via putty I find in the "tvheadend"-folder var/accesscontrol and there the user configurations files. I gave the user "*" all permissons and the config tab was visible after a restart of the NAS :). I change the permissons back via the web-ui and know it works perfect.
