newbie alert - have lost "Configuration" button

Added by oli cooke about 7 years ago

Hello

I have just set up TVheadend for first time DVB-T > xbox one usb adapter > Pi 3 > LibreElec Krypton > TVHeadend 4.2.

I have managed to lose the "Configuration" button from the top row of the web interface. I was playing with user settings and think I deleted all users (I was having trouble working out how to connect the frontend), so that may be the cause :(

Despite this I can still watch channels in the web interface (I did a scan before I broke it) so something is working.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling TVHeadend Server but the problem persists.

Is there a fix pretty please? I would gladly to reset TVHeadend to it's original settings to try again, but I cannot even see how to do this.

I'm also new to tvheadend - so this may be of no help.

In /home/hts/.hts/tvheadend there should be a file superuser. Is that files still there? It should have your username and password stored in it in plaintext.

This is a emergency entrance, user is responsible how he will use it.

There is no superuser file there.

Any thoughts?

I am clueless. Can I "reset" tvheadend and start afresh? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the addon but that din't work.

Remove configuration folder = 100% success.

I've tried that (several times), still no config button! These were my steps..

  1. # I uninstalled the Tvheadend Server 4.2 addon
  2. # Used Putty to ssh to librelec using user=root, password=libreelec
  3. # In folder storage/.hts I did rm -rf *
  4. # ls -alh showed tvheadend gone.
  5. # reinstalled Tvheadend Server 4.2 addon
  6. # On web browser, enter http://192.168.1.78:9981 (It changes itself to http://192.168.1.78:9981/extjs.html)

My channels are still there. And no config tab!

Aha, just found more config data here...

~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.tvheadend42

Deleted.

Now I have the setup wizard back! Yippee!

Now let's break it again.....

Thanks for for your help saen acro and Daniel Saunders.
