Info about compile flag --disable-dvbscan
Added by Alessio Pollero about 7 years ago
Hi,
I have a doubt : in the case I disable the dvbsscan with the make --disable-dvbscan then is it possible to search for channel with tvheadend or the feature will be not available ?
What kind of limitations do I have with the flag disabled ?
Is there a description/documentation of all the compiler flags ?
Thanks.

Only IPTV input will work.
p.s.
there is no description/documentation of all the compiler flags
they need to be in wiki but missing.

This is wrong, you're confusing --enable-linuxdvb.
--disable-dvbscan stops the inclusion/download of scan files.

So, they are basically predefined channel/service lists by area/satellite. Anyway I can perform my scan and populate my channel list with the scan ?

Basically a very useless in lot of cases
same as dvb-apps data missing satellites, dvb-t zones, cable operators.
Better to support #4379
