Raspberry Pi 3

Added by Josu Lazkano about 7 years ago

Hello,

I just buy a Raspberry Pi 3 device and want to use as Tvheadened server.

I just installed Raspbian Stretch and want to know if there is a deb package repo for Tvheadened.

I want to try to transcode channels with rpi hardware, someone has experience with this?

Kind regards.

Hello again,

I can see that there is a Jessie repor for RaspBerry Pi: https://dl.bintray.com/tvheadend/deb/dists/

But not for Stretch, is there any plan to add it?

Kind regards.

If you mean the random "release-4.2" for Raspbian Jessie it looks like a screw up on my end.

This build should not have been there & it's for that reason that I have removed it. I'm really sorry if you (or anyone) used this package. I suspect it isn't actually 4.2.3 release but 4.2.3-39 stable. I'll look into building Raspbian Jessie & Stretch release builds ASAP.

For now, please see AptRepository for details on stable-4.2 (4.2.3-39) packages for Raspbian Jessie and Stretch from my repo.

Once again, I'm really sorry for this & I'm sorry I did not notice it sooner!

Thanks Mark!

I add this repo and it works for me:

deb https://dl.bintray.com/mpmc/deb raspbianstretch stable-4.2

I see lots of commits in the github about transcoding, is going to added in your builds for Raspberry Pi 3? It will be fantastic to have this feature in our Little devices.

Thanks for your great work.

Kind regards.

I believe there is omx support, I tested it when lekma was testing the code and didn't have much luck. BUT, I shall try again and give it a test, and then maybe add an unstable version with omx support.

Thanks for your great work.

Kind regards.
