Configure NTV.mx services with TVheadend
Added by mehmeh spazumweh about 7 years ago
Hi guys
I have searched high and low and i just cannot find anything related to this. I have subscribed to NTV.mx and I would like to integrate the NTV channels with the DVB-S channels in the TVheadend guide. From what I can understand, I must use an xml or m3u file but I cannot find any information about how to obtain these files for NTV service. Can anyone help with this please?

You need to create the m3u yourself. For guide info, you need to find a source of xmltv data and import that into Tvheadend.

Thank you for your reply. I cannot find any information on this regarding creating an m3u file for NTV. I just don't know where to begin.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3U
The addresses of your streams and any service/channel names you want to assign them is up to you to determine.

The forum at NTV.mx should be able to supply you with a url to their m3u playlist. I see they offer KODI support, ask them the config information for the Kodi Simple PVR Client. That should give you a url for the playlist. It will need to be in ts format... probably ends in something like &type=m3u_plus&output=ts.
