new install on Raspberry Pi 3 unmet dependency of libssl1.0.0
Added by robin hugo about 7 years ago
I have recently bought a Pi 3
During install of tvheadend I get an error message to say that tvheadend has an unmet dependency of libssl1.0.0 but it is not installable
however apt-cache show openssl reports 1.1.0f-3
Package: openssl
Version: 1.1.0f-3
Architecture: armhf
Maintainer: Debian OpenSSL Team <[email protected]>
Installed-Size: 1066
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.15), libssl1.1 (>= 1.1.0)
any suggestions on what to do next ?
i have run update and upgrade commands
thanks
Robin

Are you trying to install Raspbian Jessie builds on Raspbian Stretch by any chance?

Yes, it seems so :oops
I had just removed win 10 iot image and rebooted to get a clean install - I wasn't watching the image download so hadn't realised it was stretch - last time I used Jessie
as Stretch is so new, I would prefer to go back to Jessie and wait to Stretch is a little more developed
thanks for that, I'll replace stretch with jessie and try again
