Multiple services under channel
Added by R rock over 7 years ago
Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to fallback to another service when the 1st services doesn't work, scenario:
Channel 4, has a HD service which is encrypted and SD channel both on DVB-C. Let say when I disable oscam or my card doesn't work, I wish it would automatically move to the SD channel.
Is there a option or solution for this :-)>?
Kind regards,
Rockie.

Yes. Have all the services point to the same channel, and assign them priorities in the Edit dialog on the Services tab. Tvheadend will use the highest priority available first.

Well, I'm facing a very similar scenario, for a specific channel, I have two services: the first one is HD, with the highest priority, the second one is SD. The first one is also encrypted during the night, not the second one.
My issue is that, when trying to watch this channel during the night, tvheadend keeps streming the first one, which is encrypted. Is there a way to force tvheadend to use another service when encrypted i.e. treat this service as "not available" ?

Turn off "Continue on error" in the stream profile, see if that helps.

Thanks !
I've just disabled "Continue even if descrambling fails" in Stream profile.
