DD Max S8 vs TBS6909 - GO!
Added by Peter Wislander over 7 years ago
Do you have any experience with one or the other, or both?
Please share your experience.
I am having troubles with TBS6909 and considering switching.
The problems could also be due to Tvheadend, not sure.

Ok, good to know. But may I ask, when you say better drivers, how has that impacted you previously with TBS?
Did you have a negative experience with their drivers? What didn't work with then?
I am asking because I am having issues myself but unsure if tvheadend or card.

Anything that'll run perexg's satip-axe firnware - it's supposed to be quite good. So one of the following "IDL-400S/Grundig GSS.BOX/Telestar Digibit R1" - I've heard the telstar is prone to overheating though.
But generally any sat-ip device that conforms to spec should work with Tvheadend. Ask the folks on #hts for recommendations :).

Ok, how many tuners doe that or the "best" version have? If it works with tvheadend, you mean on the computer? How would I connect a digital receiver to the computer and tvheadend.
Or is this is a TV card? I am not sure I follow. I think you have another use case perhaps?
