I've been using MediaPortal with a custom plugin that enhances the TVengine with the capability of using a networkID approach. In essence, it scans all linked channels on a transponder(s) linked to the networkID and then decodes the OpenTV data and then inserts this in to MP as well as providing series linking using the actual link data in the stream. It also provides a region approach to the EPG so I can select the correct area (for me that would be Auckland in HD and I get only the HD channels where HD is provided with auckland specific channels), and auto-updating/deleting on user scheduled time.

The plugin code is rubbish and old and uses a fixed descriptor length that means it is now not picking up the LCNs and quite a bit of the EPG titles and while I do have the VB code by skills are rubbish and I cannot fix the descriptor lengths etc.

My question here related to whether TVHeadend can at least grab only the channels on a specified NetworkID and then decode them if they're in OpenTV format, so i get a fully populated, region specific, HD enabled EPG. If it can do some of the other things then grand but right now I'm really interested in the OpenTV format from network ID as I do not really want the freesat data mixed in.
