[Solved] How to trigger scan for an added mux?
Added by Ron Hermsen over 7 years ago
After my provider changed a number of TV channels I needed to add a new mux for one of the changed channels.
But after adding the new mux (via Configuration > DVB Inputs > Muxes > Add) it stays in Scan Status 'PEND', Scan Result 'NONE'.
I tried to set the Scan Status to 'ACTIVE' and also 'IDLE', disable/enable the mux, but this doesn't trigger a scan of the added mux.
Also a delete/add doesn't help.
Verified the Frequency, Symbol rate and constellation parameters on two different TV's.
A reboot didn't change this issue.
Performed a Force Scan (Configuration > DVB Inputs > Networks > Force Scan), but still 'Scan results' = NONE.
Is there a way to trigger a new scan for the added mux?
Delete / Add the mux:- Enabled: selected (default)
- Scan Status: ACTIVE
- AC-3 Detection: Standard
- Delivery System: DVBC_ANNEX_AC
- Frequency (Hz): 618750000
- Symbol Rate (Sym/s): 6900000
- Constellation: QAM/256
- FEC: AUTO
- RPi3 with LibreELEC 8.0.1
- HTS Tvheadend 4.0.9 ~ LibreELEC Tvh-addon v.102
- 2 tunners connected, Anysee E30 Combo Plus

You can just play it to force a scan. Additionally, 4.0.9 is old stable & won't receive any updates, consider upgrading to 4.2 when possible.

Thanks a lot Mark.
Indeed selecting the 'Play' link in the first column did trigger a scan of the mux 618.75MHz

Now the last missing channel is available.
I will also look into TVH 4.2. Is there an upgrade path, or do I need to perform a 'clean' install?
I do have another uSD card with TVH 4.2 and LE 8.0.2. For this card I also have to update the changed TV channels.
