Which part of the link is always changing?

http://192.168.2.29:9981/stream/channelid/1697495235?ticket=235E2215B04B6F81A426A37D724EFE38875CD7E7&profile=pass

If it is 192.168.2.29 that means that your server does not have a static ip on your local network. Set a static local IP in your router (under DHCP server) for your tvheadend server

be more specific in information
we don't have crystal ball
1. device you have is (PC/STB/SomethingPI/NAS)
2. OS with you use (debian/cent/slack/arch/mac)
3. version of TVH
4. type of source (DVB-T/C/S, ATSC, IPTV, SAT>IP)
5. client (Kodi, VLC, IP-TV Player)

Can you post a link and then the new link after it changed, so we can compare the 2 to see exactly what changes?
There are different reasons why the link might change so it's important to see exactly what changes before anyone can say why.

RE: links of my stream are always changing - Added by Paraic McDonagh over 7 years ago

If the issue is with the ticket lifetime expiring. The lifetime of the ticket is hardcoded to 5 minutes in src/access.c
The parameter is a constant called TICKET_LIFETIME

Guys, same here. I am running TVH 4.2.8 on Centos 7.6. I installed TVH via snap. After initial scan, it found two muxes, one on 658Mhz (10 channels) and the other one on 464Mhz(10 channels). When I generate m3u playlist (http://user:pass@ip:9981/playlist/channels.m3u?profile=pass) and then play it via VLC on my desktop, it can only play 10 channels that belong to 658Mhz, those on 474Mhz are not possible to play. Another strange thing I have noticed is that 474Mhz channels links are constantly changing (when you generate new m3u file, let's say every other second, these links are always different) and those links that belong to 658Mhz does not change at all no matter how many times I generate new m3u file. If I setup TVH client (HTSP protocol) via KODI on separate device, all 20 channels works ok. Where do I need to dig into to fix that for m3u? I just want channel permanent links in my m3u file and that's it.

You have only one tuner
1 tuner = 1 frequency not possible to play channels from different frequency simultaneously.
take new tuner or use dual/quad tuner

url is just

http://user:pass@ip:9981/playlist/channels

RE: links of my stream are always changing - Added by Anton Shagaev over 5 years ago

Ok, but why my Kodi TVH client plays all channels then?

Anton Shagaev wrote:

But not simultaneously.
if play by Vlc channel from mux 474Mhz Kodi will not play from mux 658Mhz and vice versa.

понял ;)

RE: links of my stream are always changing - Added by Anton Shagaev over 5 years ago

понял :)

Yeah, 100% right, I should have thought about it earlier. Will buy a second tuner then (it is only 30 bucks) and hook it up via coaxial splitter and second usb port and then assign second mux to that tuner.

Thanks for your help mate!

RE: links of my stream are always changing - Added by saen acro over 5 years ago

TVH have nice feature Tuner On-Demand so create network add all muxes in your area and then attach it to all tuners with count is near count of users watching and less or equal to muxes count

ex.
two users can watch 8 muxes with x channels without interfering each other with two tuners.
unlimited number of clients can watch all channels on 8 muxes with 8 tuners (limit will be network speed ;) )

Как легко было объяснить, а потом понять;)

RE: links of my stream are always changing - Added by Anton Shagaev over 5 years ago

Вы хорошо обьясняете, спасибо Вам за это! :)

I see where you pointing to mate and that's exactly what I wanna to achieve here at home. I'll set it up with 2 muxes on two dongles, create a new network, add muxes from 1st and second dongle and then share the connection with all my friends who does not have DVB-T2 tuners at home. Same as me, I do have Sony Bravia (with DVB-T only) at home but it worked well till Russia stopped DVB-T support and switched to DVB-T2. Luckily I run my own server at home and I wanned to extend that service a bit more with TVH, which is a great TV server by all means.

RE: links of my stream are always changing - Added by Anton Shagaev over 5 years ago

By the way, I use this device as my DVB-T2 dongle - ID 0572:c68a Conexant Systems (Rockwell), which relates to Geniatech T230C2.
