Different channels in same mux

Added by Josu Lazkano over 7 years ago

Hello,

I have Tvheadend server with 1xDVB-S2 and 2xDVB-T tuners with 4 Kodi clients to feed all recordings and livetv.

The problem is that I can not feed (livetv or record) 2 channels in same frecuency for DVB-S2, why? Both are in same mux so there will be no problem to read all channels.

Some years ago, there is no problem with MythTV, I could watch all channels in one frecuency with 1 tuner.

Is possible to configure it? I am missing something?

Best regards.

Can you play a full dvb-s mux? Use the Play link/icon in the muxes tab & paste it in VLC to test.

If you can't, your device is more than likely using hardware pid filtering.

Thanks for the reply,

I will try it later. But I am sure that I had play 2 channels in same mux with MythTV and same hardware.

Hello,

I try to play in VLC the MUX, it only play FTA muxes, no encrypted ones.

I use OSCam in a LAN server to decrypt with local card. Will be this the problem?

Could I share any log to see if my hardware is pid filtering?

Regards.

It's normal to not be able to stream a full mux AND decrypt all services, they have to be decrypted separately.

You're able to view all services on a FTA mux so your tuner isn't the problem, it's something else.. What error do you get when you try and play two streams at once? Open the log on the webui (bottom bar) and try playing two streams from the same mux & see what the problem is.

Sorry,

I try it now and it works. I am able to record one channel and see other in same mux.

Sorry for this post.

Kind regards.

No need to apologise.

But, I'm glad you've got it sorted now.
