EPG and Recordings does not match:
Added by Peter LB almost 8 years ago
Hi I have installed TVheadend on Ubuntuserver.
My problem is the recordings doesn't fit. If I schedule a recording from EPG, the recording many times start 1 hour after scheduled. If I set timezone in Network to UTC + 1 (now is UTC) the recording is correct, but then the EPG doesn't match.
I don't know how to solve it, but really need some help please.

Try setting EIT time offset to "Local (server) timezone" rather than UTC + 1.
Once you've done that stop tvheadend, delete the epgdb.v2 file in the config dir (Usually home/hts/.hts/tvheadend) & restart. This should clear any old EPG data.

Hi guys. Have tried setting it to local server, delete the EPG file and restart, but that just makes the EPG 1 hour off

when running date command gives:
Thu Jan 19 13:21:56 CET 2017
which is correct time for me in Denmark.

Are you using xmltv? If so, check the dates and times in the source.

No is just using the built in OTA.

What does the time at the top of the web page? Maybe the time is off on the device you are using to see the webpage. I have a Tvheadend server in another timezone, and if I look at the EPG it always shows the times for where I am accessing the server, not the local server time.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately the time on the web page is correct..

And the timezone and daylight saving time is correct? Usually one hour differences are due to daylight saving time problems...
Do you have the date/time as part of your recording's filename? If so, is it correct? If not can you temporarily set it and check? (Something like $t %F %R.$x)
Also, are they one time recordings or auto-recordings.
Does the current/upcoming and finished recordings show the correct time?

Where should I check if daylight saving time is correct? In TVHeadend or Ubuntuserver? I have checked date in ubuntuserver and shows correct clock and CET. In TVHeadend webinterface it should correct clock also.
I don't have date/time as part of recording file.

I have now tried some recordings. Sometimes it only records 20 min of 1 hour recordings. I can't see where the problem is. Please help
