Updated drivers to crazycat - scanning fails, but services still in there work fine
Added by asnail boy1 almost 8 years ago
i see no data when scanning since i updated and they all get labelled as fail.
but, all channels work fine when i click the services i scanned previously to updating.
using TBS 6909 and WinTV DualHD usb and T230 usb
all devices fail at scanning.
Any ideas?

Did you erase MEDIA folders before "make install"

thanks.
i'm not sure if i did, but i have done that now, and also tried installing the TBS opensoruce drivers..
getting the same issue.
ignoring the WinTV dual HD.
i have noticed that my diseqc is not working.. i can now only access 2nd port on switch.
i have diseqc 4 port.
Port 1 28.2
Port 2 19.2
Port 3 13e
I can now only tune to channels on Port 2.. i've tried a fresh tvheadend and it is the same issue.. i noticed the issue while scanning 28.2 and it came up with only a couple of transponders but they were 19.2e channels.
Is there something else i can remove or change so i can get this working?
it all started when installing the crazycat drivers
Thanks

OK do you use QUATTRO not QUAD LNB or each input have independent LNB?

Hi,
i've been using it for over a year with no problems.
I'm using 4x 4port diseqc switches, of which 3 of the ports are used on each switch. each of my lnbs has a quad lnb. The hardware setup is fine.
nothing hardware wise has changed.
upon further investigation, it's as if it's not reading mode=1 in m conf file. And this may be the issue. it could be the latest TBS opensource drivers have caused this (and crazycats also had those commits).
In tvheadend it also always showed TBS6909 as the device, since i put crazy car it says MXL5XX, and also going back to tbs opensource shows the same. installing tvheadend from scratch did not make a difference.
I notice on first boot, the diseqc works 1 time, as if it's in mode 0 or 2?
:~$ modinfo mxl5xx

Diseqc now fixed.
doing this from support -
@#wget http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/document/linux/media_build-0105.tar.bz2- sudo rm -rf /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/media/
#tar jxvf media_build-0105.tar.bz2
#cd media_build
#./install.sh@
but, i'm now getting the original issue i had - i can't scan channels in tvheadend, but i can watch all services i had previously scanned, any ideas?
