HTSP protocol information
Added by Josu Lazkano almost 8 years ago
Hello,
I have a Tvheadened server with a remote client over wireless point-to-point link. The LiveTV and recordings works very well with HD content. The problema is that when I copy files and use high bandwith usage in the wireless link, the image use to pause and get pixeled.
I want to apply QoS in the link but I want to know the HTSP protocol information:
- That port is used?
- Is it UDP or TCP?
- Need I priorize other protocol used between Tvheadend server and client?
I will really really appreciate your help.
Kind regards.

Ports: 9981 (for web access, if you don't need remote web access don't forward this), 9982 (HTSP) and any other you're using for sat>ip. Note that if you have channel logos some clients will use http to grab them.

TCP.

Tvheadend only uses http, htsp mainly.

In 4.1 (dev, what will be 4.2) you can set the "DSCP/TOS" type :).

Thanks!
I have 4.1, so I will apply DSCP in the server and in all routers.
Best regards.
