Losing SAT>IP Enabled Adapters after reboot

Added by Steve Murray about 8 years ago

I have tvheadend 4.0.8 running on my Synology DS412+, taking feeds from a Megasat MEG-8000 Sat>IP 3 Server.

Generally, it works really well and is a very cost effective way to get 8 feeds from a quad LNB to my home setup.

However, I've had a couple of power cuts in the past week and when the kit has come back up, the tvheadend server seems to have forgotten the config of the SAT>IP cards.

I have all 8 tuner feeds and 1 position enabled.

After the reboot (dirty shutdown, which may be relevant) the tuners are showing, but all are disabled and are back to showing 4 positions each again. - Once I enable again, it all comes back to life..

Is this a bug, something I'm doing wrong, or is it just something I need to live with?

(The worry is if there is a reboot for some reason when I'm away and the family can't get it back up running again).

Cheers!

Hi

I've just bought a Megasat Sat>IP 3 as well, and I get the same behaviour on HTS Tvheadend 4.0.9-16~g63c1034~trusty - after a clean reboot the Sat>IP feeds are listed, but all are disabled and have lost all of their settings (in my case, recording / streaming priorities and disabling of idle scanning for all of them as it causes picture breakup on the house TV which is fed direct off the same 8 way LNB).

Did you raise a ticket for it, it seems like an issue to me...

Out of interest, why are you restricting to 1 position per tuner?

Cheers
