Created Network does not show up in Adapter.

Added by Ty Unes about 8 years ago

I've been looking for an answer to this issue.

The setup is a Raspberry Pi 2. Fresh installation of OSMC and TVHeadEnd 4. I've tried this on a few different installs (Raspbian, Debian) and I get the same results.

This issue is after I create a Network, call it something like OTH-TV but I've tried different names, and select ATSC US, and the muxes are populated fine, when I go back to the adapter to enable and select my created Network (OTH-TV), it's not listed in the drop-down list. TVHeadEnd seems to save my selections in other pages fine so I don't think it's a file permissions problem, in that case, it wouldn't be able to save ANY selections, right?

I've done several searches and I find nothing or nobody else seems to have this problem so I'm not finding any help on the issue. Can anyone here comment or have ideas on why my created Network doesn't show in the adapter drop-down list?

Thank you for reading and your time!

Is your adapter set to the proper network type? I know for the HDHomeRun adapters, if your adapter is not properly identified, you can override the adapter's network type; it will only list networks that are the same type that the adapter supports.

And by ATSC US, I assume you mean ATSC-T?

The adapter in question is a Realtek RTL2832U DBV-T + FM + Something else I don't remember. Could that be the reason? ATSC-US-Center-Freq***. I'm sorry I don't remember the full names of things. I'm going from memory as I'm at work. I do have access (SSH) to the machine though, if it helps.
