Channel name lost after restart/reboot
Added by Diego Gonzalez about 8 years ago
Hi.
I have tvheadend 4.1-2236~g817f67e~wily over Ubuntu 16.04.
Everything works great, but if I modified any channel name in Configuration / Channel / EPG, when restart tvheadend or restart server, all modified channel names are lost.
Thanks a lot.
Regards.

If using a bouquet then they will.

Unless you uncheck the 'Always use the name defined by the network' option in the channel list
I HAVE to uncheck that option when I merge some channels as they are named slightly differently between satellite and terrestrial (i.e. BBC One N West vs. BBC ONE N West) and leaving the box checked causes unexpected behaviour for me.
If you want to use bouquets and have custom channel names, uncheck that box.

Also - I've noticed that configuration is lost when TVHeadend shuts down in a non graceful manner - i.e. if you rename a channel then TVHeadend crashes, the changes will not have been saved whereas if you rename the channel then restart TVHeadend the changes are saved.
This however is an aside to your issue

Thanks for all.
I have check the 'Automatically map EPG Source' and get the channel name from EPG Source. I have modified EPG Source and everything works great!!!
Thanks.
