Tvheadend not getting the EPG data generated with WebGrabPlus

Added by Nicolas Rioja about 8 years ago

Hi,
I´m having problems to get the EPG data showed in the TVHeadend´s EPG section. I´m doing that with a xmltv guide file which is generated with the SW WebGrabPlus to be injected later in Tvheadend.

This is my setup:
Tvheadend version 4.1-2195~g65dfd15 running in a QNAP NAS.
I´m using WebGrabPlus version V1.1.1/57 running also in the QNAP NAS.

The configuration is this:
1.- EPG Grabber Modules

2.- EPG Grabber

3.- EPG Grabber Channels

4.- Channels

Once I have all configured if I choose the option: Re-run Internal EPG Grabbers I get this:

2016-09-09 00:21:52.534 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg: grab /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg

2016-09-09 00:21:52.535 spawn: Executing "/usr/bin/tv_grab_wg"

2016-09-09 00:21:52.614 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg: grab took 0 seconds

2016-09-09 00:21:52.790 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg: parse took 0 seconds

2016-09-09 00:21:52.790 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg: channels tot= 46 new= 0 mod= 0

2016-09-09 00:21:52.790 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg: brands tot= 0 new= 0 mod= 0

2016-09-09 00:21:52.790 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg: seasons tot= 0 new= 0 mod= 0

2016-09-09 00:21:52.790 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg: episodes tot= 1186 new= 1186 mod= 1186

2016-09-09 00:21:52.790 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_wg: broadcasts tot= 1186 new= 86 mod= 92

But after that, I can´t get the info showed in Tvheadend in the EPG section, just only the EPG obtained from the DVB Network:

And this should look like this:

I attach you the xml file also in case of you need it.

Thanks
Nicolas

When you've got multiple EPG sources it can be a bit confusing as to which is in use - what you need to do the disable the broadcast EPG - this is called the EIT. You need to amend this on all the services assigned to the channel :-

When you are on the DVB-T services tab click on the service, then click "Ignore EPG (EIT)"

(You may need to click View Level and select Expert to see this option).

You can also add this checkbox to the grid

Move over a column header, click the down arrow, Columns, and Tick "Ignore EPG (EIT)"

Hi Kev S.

Thank you very much! I didn´t take care that parameter... now all the channels has that option marked.

But I still need your help because... despite I´ve made that configuration I´m having problems to get the EPG in some channels even when I´m 100% sure that .xml file has the info there. This is an example:

Now I´m having this channel without EPG for 1 day:

If you see the channel has been updated correctly:

And in the .xml file is detailed the info of the program (line 328):

Please find attached also the complete .xml file if you need review it.

If you need anything else just let me know.

Thanks for all and best regards.

Have you tried to set a higher priority to the internal xml grabber? i.e. 5

I have a similar configuration and by default tvheadend set the priority on both the DVB EPG and the xml grabber have 1 as priority and increasing the value for the xml grabber entry make the trick.

I have similar issues when writing my own feeds - it seems the importers fail to overwrite events which start before the earliest programme in the XML file - i.e. if you wait until tomorrow it should be good from now on.

The XML feed itself if good:-
