Why is the UK Freesat 1 hour early on the EPG
Added by steve parry about 8 years ago
Hey all,
I have a Freesat and Sky UK setup.
Everything is working great apart from the Freesat supplied EPG is 1 hour early. I know were in British Summer time which is UTC+1.
The sky epg grabber is perfect. But is missing info for the free to view channels hence the Freesat grabber is enabled.
Any ideas,
The 2 networks I have setup are both set to "EIT time offset: Local Server Time"
The scrapers I have enabled are
EIT DVB Grabber
Opentv Sky Uk
UK Freesat
Any ideas?

Just checked my config and my grabbers are set to UTC (which I believe is the default) - have you tried that?

Brilliant I think that worked Jonathan. That and i stopped tvheadend and deleted the epg database, then started tvheadend

Good
Broadcasters (especially satellite ones) should be using UTC to ensure stuff like this doesn't happen and local timezones are enforced in the receiving device so it's nice to see it working in practice.
