Crashes in unstable build

Added by Josu Lazkano over 8 years ago

Hello,

I have a Debian Jessie server with bintray unstable repository. This is my tvheadened build: 4.1-2141~g01c26fc~jessie

I have some crashes, once a week: http://paste.debian.net/786455/

How could I debug it?

Anyone could help?

Kind regards.

Bit of a tough one. There are trace and debug options in TVHeadend (which I've only just started playing with) but whether or not they are enabled on your build I can't tell you. The syslog output is too generic to work out what caused the crash.

If you have a button called 'Debugging' in the 'Configuration' tab then great, if not, you'll need to build from source to get the debug/trace options (just building from source may even fix your problem).

How to build from source
Traces and debugging

If/when you get to the debug/trace options, you need to enable what to trace/debug and that depends upon whether or not you can tie the crash down to something in particular. I'd start with +dvr,+htsp which should cover streaming and recording issues.
