Problem with recording on freebsd
Added by Soren Hansen over 8 years ago
Hello,
I just got TVH running on my Freebsd, almost everything is working (Streaming, EPG, time shifting etc..) But recording dosen't work at all, i have tried almost everything.
Start/Stop and scheduled recordings are working, but my my problem is that the .ts file are corrupt. Playing directly from TVH or downloading to my laptop and open it with VLC is the same, I just got a black screen and some voice/noice in the background for around 2 - 5 sec before it stops playing.
Log from TVH:

I have tried mounting EXT2 and FAT to my recording path, I might thought it were something with UFS filesystem. Furthermore I have tried diffrent TVH version (4.0.8 From port, 4.0.9 and 4.1 (did some modifications to sourcecode to have it compiled on freebsd)) but non of my tries did fix the recording problems.
I'm using the default recording profile (PASS), and tried the WEBTV profile as well.
I'm running version 10.3 right now, but have tried with 10.2 and 11 as well
I have a colleague running with same tuner, settings etc. on a archlinux box and here the recording are working, so I don't know if this might be a freebsd problem?
Did someone in here, had similar problems on freebsd? Or might have an idea to fix it
Best Regards
Soren

Soren, I can't help you, not yet anyway, but what tuner card(s) are you using?
Thanks.
