SAT>IP: requesting too many PIDs causes freeze
Added by Christian Eiden over 8 years ago
Hi,
I'm running Tvheadend 4.0.8_1 on a FreeNAS (FreeBSD based) system, installed via pkg, in combination with a SelfSat SAT>IP dish and Astra 19.2E.
Everything seems to work correctly besides one fact.
It seems, that I cannot watch/record services that are on the same mux. All streams will stop. See the attached screenshots.
What can I do about this? How can I debug this issue, as I'm new to Tvheadend.
Is there maybe a way to force the system to use separate tuners for the same mux?
Thanks for the help,
Regards
Christian

The issue only seems to occur for HD Services, SD works fine.
I attached some debug logs (accessed from external, so my bandwidth was not enough for even one HD Service ;-)).
Subscriptions get stuck and can only be removed by restarting Tvheadend

here some screenshots with multiple SD subscriptions

just tested 6 SD services on one mux. This also breaks. Could it be related to a network issue?

General Bandwidth is not a problem, as 5 HD Streams from different tuners work perfect

I sometimes see messages like this in my FreeBSD
sonewconn: pcb 0xfffff803d1c93c40: Listen queue overflow: 2 already in queue awaiting acceptance (4 occurrences)
This means, that Tvheadend can't process the network traffic fast enough. What can I do?

After more testing, my current value is 14.
This works nice fror max 2 HD services on one mux.
