Wrong content-type for all my channels
Added by Renato Riolino over 8 years ago
Hi guys,
I live in Brazil and I'm using tvheadend for my DVB-S and ISDB-T channels.
Everything is working ok, except for the content-type of all channels (both from DVB-S and ISDB-T sources) that doesn't match with the actual content.
For exemple, almost all Disney, Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids programs shows content-type as Religion while Sports channels shows as "Talk Show" or "Serious Music / Classical Music".
I am aware that the problem is probably with my SAT operator that is sending the wrong codes for content-type.
How can I fix this? I know how to modify a C code and to compile tvheadend. If someone can tell me just which src files I should change for this I would appreciate.
Thanks
Renato

I had one ideia and I'd like to take the oportunity to ask if it is possible:
Can I grab the EPG data via EIT as I'm already doing, but instead of directly use it, first export to XML and call an external program to fix the wrong content-type data, and then import the XML back again?
This way I wouldn't need to change tvheadend's source.
Thanks again

Yes, it is probably your operator, wonder if it would help if you used an external EPG source, such as xmltv? Just speculating though.
Yes, scripting something to fix the eit might be a way.

Hello,
Unfortunately I can't use an external xmltv source because none is available (for free) in Brazil.
I tried to export epgdata from tvheadend using http://xxx.xxx.xx.x:9981/xmltv as explained here:
https://tvheadend.org/issues/2527
But the content-type were not exported.
Any ideias??
