Daylight Savings Issue

Added by asnail boy1 over 8 years ago

Hi All,

I'm in the UK.
i'm using tvheadend on kodibuntu, in a vm with 3 dvb-s2 tuners (1 dual and 1 single pcie) and 1 amd gpu passed through.
I'm also using 3 satellites 28.2/19.2e/13e (quad lnb on each but just using 3), & 3 disqeq switches all connected to each tuner.

Everything was/is working perfect for over a year or more.

a few weeks ago the clocks went back(or forward).

Now, all UK channels are showing the correct times on the EPG, but, all euro channels are now 1 hour incorrect..

The problem is in both TVH epg guide (via webinterface and tvhclient) and kodi.

Any ideas?

I donated once in the past and i think i'm due another btw :)

Have you tried setting the EIT time offset for the network? (You might need to be running unstable/git master to see the option).

sorry for the late response.

this seems to have fixed the issue.

Thanks a lot. i've put a small donation to the project.

also if anyone else is reading this, just donate - no matter how small, every little helps.

I'm now having this issue. The EPG in the Tvheadend backend is accurate, but each of the Kodi clients I have running are 1 hour out (1 Windows client and a couple of OSMC clients, which are all using up to date versions of the Tvheadend PVR addon).

I can't find any way of adjusting the time in the Kodi clients, and my EIT time offset in Tvheadend is set to UTC, similar to the post above.

tvheadend: version 4.2.6-1~g7422018

Local time: Tue 2018-03-27 11:16:36 BST
Universal time: Tue 2018-03-27 10:16:36 UTC
RTC time: Tue 2018-03-27 10:16:36
Time zone: Europe/London (BST, +0100)
Network time on: yes
NTP synchronized: yes
RTC in local TZ: no

Running Kodi 17.x on each of the front end clients.

There was just a discussion in the Kodi forums about this. It's a known bug, and it's not been set for a fix any time soon. A reboot of the machine running Kodi ought to fix it.

If it doesn't, stop Kodi, delete the TV??.db and Epg??.db files, reboot the machine, then start Kodi.

There is a long time ago EPG clean in Xbmc/Kodi UI in TV settings
Also there is a check NOT to cache EPG.
