Recording start time.
Added by c l over 8 years ago
When auto recording is set for a certain program, there is always a 30 second padding on the start end. Occasionally I have conflicts with my dual tuner, and one of the overlapping shows will fail. If I manually edit the recording schedules, and give each show a slightly different start time, without overlap, I don't seem to have the problem. Is there a way to eliminate that 30 second pre-record setting. I've tried to set a negative value in the "Extra Time Before Recordings (minutes):" but it will only take positive minutes. Not a big problem to manually edit all of the scheduled recordings, but sometimes I just forget too.
?? is there a work around for this ??
Thanks

If you're running 4.1.x then set the follow to 0:
4.0.x doesn't have the option yet I don't think.

I'm using Build: 4.0.8 ~ OpenELEC Tvh-addon v6.0.4 --- that's been rock steady on the Pi2 -- I've been using the PiB+ and Pi2 with Tvheadend for about a year now with good results. I'm not sure how to update Tvheadend to the newer version.

Anybody?
No suggestions as to how to update TVheadend to a newer version?
SSH into it and copy some files?

You're at the mercy of the Openelec guys I'm afraid, they won't upgrade to the development code for obvious reasons.. They dropped official support for Tvheadend a while ago.
