Is it possible to beta test 4.2?

Added by Jim Bo almost 9 years ago

I'm running 2 different tvh setups at my home but I'm also running a sat boxes based on enigma 2 to fill in some blanks in my system.

I've been following the commits for 4.2 and its feature set seems to be perfect for me. How can I get in to build and test the source code? I'm running 4.0.8 and 4.1 currently but if I could use 4.2 then I can rig together a centralised system.

If it's a completely closed test is there any idea when it's coming. I noticed there's only 2 issues left on the roadmap

Of course you can test it, 4.1 development code (git master) is what will become 4.2.

Just remember to make a backup of your current config in case anything goes wrong, I recommend that you use a fresh config..

Ah, I assumed it was a different build because I compiled the latest 4.1.15 something and a few features weren't there. Namely the enigma2 import as I'm having real headaches with keeping my current numbering system in place

You have to import the enigma as a bouquet. (Config -> Channels / EPG -> Bouquets -> Add -> Enter url.
