I want to know that as well.

I am running TVheadend 4.0.7

Have you found a solution?

Please, let me know.

RE: ISDB-T Where is ? - Added by over over almost 9 years ago

Well after a lot of reading best solution i found

compile version 3.4 from source.

and now everthing running smooth again.

version 4 (stable unstable release) causes a lot of troubles on my system (fresh instalation)

after hours in batlle i can make works but works very very bad.

the secret is is set a dvb-t network and add muxes all set in manual way (you need know frequencys)

problems to my system if i use version 4 is:

none 1 sec stream worked
no epg has worked
some channels dont have audio
i have high cpu usage if i click to see logs
i have high cpu usage after system start scanning muxes

Version 4 is stable ???? dont think sooooooo
version 3 works like a charm and rock solid

I am from Brazil.

This sucks, ISDB-T doesn't even get mentioned on TVHeadend Wiki page.

I Believe they dropped support.

Can you show me where you got the sourcecode for the 3.4 version?

RE: ISDB-T Where is ? - Added by over over almost 9 years ago

Drop support to isdb-t ??? maybe

but not smart move ignore all these people.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISDB#Countries_and_territories_using_ISDB-T

I hope they not drop support on isdb-t

Well i downloaded here

https://github.com/tvheadend/tvheadend/releases?after=v3.9

i using 3.4 work fine until now i have some minor problems with epg not bigggg deal.

Nevermind, I have found it. Downloaded a zip file for the specific targeted version on git.

But here is the thing, after compilation, I cant get into webui.

Have you encountered that issue? There is no Webui.

Valeu, bom poder falar português também.

Existe uma versão com patch, vai ver é isso. A 3.4 que eu estou tentando fazer uso no Raspberry PI não tem WebUI.

Vou tentar com a versão com patch.

RE: ISDB-T Where is ? - Added by Hobbes Hobbes almost 9 years ago

Well, The Patch1 I have compiled it is opening the WebUI, the user interface inside the WebUI is kind of different, but I couldnt see any mention to DVB-T.

Is getting late, I will look into it later on.

That doesn't mean it isn't supported.

I Believe they dropped support.

Not as far as I know..

4.x has been running fine on my system for ages now and I'm sure it has been for many others too.

I'm really sorry to hear you're having issues but is there really any need for that sarcastic comment?

version 3 works like a charm and rock solid

Version 3.x is also very old, missing features and does has bugs if you look hard enough.

You've both done nothing but whine about how Tvheadend 4.x doesn't work for you. Why haven't you opened issues, provided logs and mux dumps so the one active developer can at least try and fix your issues?

It really annoys me reading posts like these, it's almost as if you've forgotten that Tvheadend is open source and the people that write the code do it in their own free time.

And i'm just going to assume the horrible attitude is down to bad translation..

Mark, I actually appreciate the work done here. I do believe that Tvheadend is a great piece of software.

This is my first time trying to use it. Couldn't get far. You need to understand that is frustrating and maybe that somehow got in the way we talked about, to see ISDB-T not listed anywhere.

I have compiled the 3.4patch1 version from source and when I try to add a DVB Network I dont see Brazil there.

Isn't there a way to make tvheadend import a channel.conf? I have all the frequencies necessary.

PS: I honestly didn't know my English was that bad! :)

RE: ISDB-T Where is ? - Added by over over almost 9 years ago

Hello Mark

Its look almost obvious is isdb-t is unsupported when read this on main page of tvheadend. :(

"Tvheadend is a TV streaming server and recorder for Linux, FreeBSD and Android supporting DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-C, DVB-T, ATSC, IPTV, SAT>IP and HDHomeRun as input sources."

And i love provide logs and another infos but when i click on log tab my system all processor get busy and the system freeze and nothing show on logs tab sorry but i unable to provide logs via webinterface there is another way to do that ??? i will happy if i can help you guys.

Sorry about my sarcastic comment but i very frustrated after 4 days try everthing i found over internet.after a spend money in another tuner and more and more problems i really dissapointed by Reaching Nowhere with version 4 to me its a big disaster just dont work and i cannot grab more info because the problem about cpu usage only reboot works

in less 10 minutes compiled version 3 and configured has been worked what do you expect about me with this experience hum ???

yes version 3 is to old and lack of lot of features but works.

i not finished my tests on version 4 yet.so i not open issues, but i will.about logs ? give me a help here how will I do this with all cpus working a 100 % and tvheadend is not responsive ???? all system not resposive take ages to do a reboot and after 2 minutes running tvheadend system get unresposive again.

RE: ISDB-T Where is ? - Added by Hobbes Hobbes almost 9 years ago

Hi Over,

How did you add a DVB network location for Brazil?

My ISDB-T device is appearing, I did enabled it, but I am assuming that its going to take more than just that to work.

dvb: Adapter "DiBcom 8000 ISDB-T" Enabled
dvb: Adapter /dev/dvb/adapter0 will run in filtered mode

Firstly are you using an old config from 3.4 or a new one? If you're using an old config back it up and start afresh see if you see experience hang ups.

if you want to see the logs you can edit the startup script & get tvheadend to output all debugging information to a file.

e.g. on ubuntu/debian you can enter this below.

Warning the following command will cause Tvheadend to output a lot of data, you should run Tvheadend like this for debugging only. Remember to edit the init script after you're finished gathering output.

sudo sed -i 's/ARGS=\"-f\"/ARGS=\"-f -l \/home\/hts\/tvheadend.log --debug +all --trace +all\"/' /etc/init.d/tvheadend
sudo service tvheadend restart
    (1-11/11)
