How to roll back to master main version 4.1-1163
Added by Marco Jakobs almost 9 years ago
Hi,
yesterday I did system upgrades on my Linux VM's and unfortunately I've overlooked that I still had the master main repo active on my media server. So the pretty well running TVH 4.1-1163 was updated to 1209 where the playback of recordings was broken. Tried another update today (1216) and now even the live TV stream is not working.
Is there a way to get 4.1-1163 back via apt-get or dpkg install? I did not find an archive ...
That would be more easy and faster than restoring the whole VM from my nightly backups ...
Thanks,
Marco

OK, I've found it:
apt-get install tvheadend=4.1-1163~g1bf77c5~trusty
However, going to 1216 and back seems to have done something with my config which is not visible for me in the config pages. I can't tune anymore to anything back on 1163, all tuners show the state "bad" and in the log I receive RTSP errors -22 (Invalid Argument).
Rolling back the entire VM from the backup now ...

You could have just extracted one of your backups in /home/hts/.hts/tvheadend/backup. to /home/hts/.hts/tvheadend

I have downgraded, rebooted and everything seems to be as it was, although it has had to do a service scan again but atleast my tuners are there and working.
