wildcards in epg search

Hi,

I often watch soccer games and thus want to record them but they are repeated often. To not record one game multiple times, I'd like to record only the games with "live" at their beginning.

So how can i search for games beginning with "live" and somewhere in the text for my favourite club. I tried "*" and "+" but nothing works.

I've just tried.

^Live: *
in both the guide and the Autorec pane and it found the one programme beginning with "Live: " fine.

Have you checked the fulltext option?

hi mark,

thanks for your advice. yes, I did check the fulltext option, it doesn't help.

i guess my explanation was not perfect.
1) my club is playing at home, the text would be "live: my club - opponent"
2) my club is playing away, the text would be "live: opponent - my club"

so "live * my club" would find both games, if it worked out with wildcards. that's the target.

"live" would find both games as well, but various additional results from different clubs.
"my club" would find all repeats as well.

still not the solution for me...

how about:

^live: my club - .*
?

GREAT!!! what i was searching for was "live: .* my club"! this works in any cases. i still do not understand why ".*" is the correct wildcard instead of "*" but it doesn't matter anyway.

. = match anything
* = as many times as possible (greedy).
    (1-5/5)
