Broadcast Tvheadend signals via DVB-C

Added by Tv Uox about 9 years ago

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry if it may sound silly (I haven't got much knowledge about digital video broadcast) but I am wondering if I could broadcast Tvheadend Streams (SAT, IPTV, etc.) via DVB-C. I am asking this, because the number of TVs supporting HTSP is, well, limited. Even the number of new TVs supporting SAT>IP is not very big. So I'd like to know if Tvheadend is able to do this and if there is any affordable Hardware out there.

Not directly no.

I know its possible to do it with a DVB-T modulator not sure about DVB-C, check out linuxstb's dvb2dvb tool on github. https://github.com/linuxstb/dvb2dvb
