Strange subtitle problem
Added by alpha xion about 13 years ago
Hi,
I recently turned to using tvheadend for my HTPC solution and got it working with the following setup
mythbuntu 11.04 build
compro S350 DVB-S tuner
tvheadend 2.12.99
xbmc-pvr
Both tvhe and xbmc were downloaded from the lars ppa. It scanned and detected a whole load of channels, mapped them across and worked fine in xbmc. However, some channels but not all appear to have subtitles running and I cannot find a setting in either app to turn them off.
I'm figuring I'll need to turn them off in a config file somewhere but don't know where to look. Any of you guys willing to lend a hand?

You can enable/disable the subtitles showing from the OSD Audio and Subtitle Settings in XBMC.
Look at this wiki page.

I'll have another look tonight, but I couldn't see that option when I was initially searching for a way to turn off subtitles from live tv.
If I can't find them in there, I'll try loading up a movie and see if I can set it to default off across all video files/streams.
