Problems with HD Homerun and TVHeadend
Added by Erwin van den Berg over 9 years ago
I am using a HD Homerun 3 with dvbhdhomerun 0.0.15. This worked stable with TVHeadend 3.2.18, but newer versions give a problem: after a few hours dvbhdhomerun does not respond anymore. I need to kill the userhdhomerun process and start it again.
That is why I stayed at TVHeadend 3.2.18, but now on Kodi 15 older versions of HTSP are not supported anymore, so I am forced to using a newer version of TVHeadend. But this problem with dvbhdhomerun is driving me nuts, so is there anybody who has any idea what might be the issue? I assume something must have changed in the way TVHeadend addresses DVB causing this behaviour, as v3.2.18 never exhibited this issue.
Any help is much appreciated.

Some extra info: these are the last lines of the log from userhdhomerun:
FE_READ_STATUS
sym qual: 64
FE_READ_STATUS

Exiting
If I disown the process, 'Exiting' will not be in the log, but it will stop working anyways. So obviously something (TVHeadend?) is sending an exit signal to the userhdhomerun process.

Just realised, Exiting in the log comes from me killing the process ... sorry for that.
I can remember that there were plans in the past the make direct support for the HDHomerun in TVHeadend. Is there already any progress in that direction?
