Using SAT>IP on PI2 without own DVB-Stick
Added by Nihil Baxter over 9 years ago
Just a little question about how to configure that, maybe someone knows?
So here is the problem: I got 1 BananaPro with DVB-C Stick, all working fine. I enabled SAT>IP server and connected last version of TVheadend with newest DVBviewer on my Windows Machine. That works, i can use DVBviewer as SAT>IP client, just for testing as my windows machine has its own Stick.
Second, i have one PI2 which i use for building and testing TVheadend, but it doesn't have its own DVB-C Stick. So i tried to get connected to my BananaPro as SAT>IP client. I can see it under TV-adapters as "SAT>IP DVB-C Tuner #1 (192.168.0.15:9983)". But i couldn't manage to get some muxes, if i force scan i see FAIL at all channels. Before i copied configuration folders from my running BananaPro to Pi2, now i see all channels, muxes and tags, but it didn't connect.
I don't know, maybe i did everything wrong, maybe it isn't possible to connect the two machines via SAT>IP (to record programs on Pi from Banana for example) ?
Someone has any suggestions whats the problem?
Thx

Ok, thought that no one knows or all hate me, lol
but---my fault, didn't see that i have to set 9982 as streaming port, now that works. Bit tricky to configure that all, but ok, its not a windows "do you want to do this or that...<2 thing
