DSM 5.2 Synology : No TV Adapters ? Please Help

Added by Pierre VINCENT over 9 years ago

Hello, I own a Synology NAS DS115J brand new. Installation Green 2TB, Afatech IT9135 BDA DVB-T HDTV Dongle, GbE LAN.
Initially, I tested by DVB videoStation is ok but does not work with KODI.
I then installed the tvheadend synocommunity and I took good care of disable function in DTV VideoStation, rebooted the NAS, as requested in the installation instructions.
The package center confirms that tvheadend is started. I connect to the http: // NAS: 9981.
I'm in Control, DVB Inputs, TV Adapters, select TV Adapters, but nothing, the list is empty ...
I stopped the tvheadend service rebooted the NAS, and restarted tvheadend, but still not my TV USB Adapters in the list.
I logged in with SSH putty, Tappe the following command found on the internet:
cat / var / log / dmesg | grep DVB
Answer: [Wed May 20 2015 9:26:59 p.m.] DVB: registering new adaptation (ITE 9135 (9006) Generic)
[Wed May 20 2015 9:27:00 p.m.] usb 2-1: DVB: Registering adapt frontend 0 0 (ITE 9135 (9006) Generic_1).

Or is the error?
My NAS is current DSM 5.2.

I'm not an expert but I think there should be some more lines in the logfile if your adapter was succefully initialised. Your dongle is an usb device right? could you get TV working with the videostation? if not run "dmesg|grep usb" and post the output.

"I took good care of disable function in DTV VideoStation" if i got you right you disabled the video station.

If so I think this is wrong. You could try:

1) disable tvheadend package
2) enable the video station (if disabled some necessary drivers are not loaded)2
3) restart your diskstation
4) enable tvheadend

than "cat /var/log/dmesg | grep DVB" should give you some more output.

if this is not working please post the output of "dmesg|grep usb" to make sure that the dongle and its drivers are loaded
