TBS6280 (or similar) - anyone have working sleep/resume with latest OS drivers?

Added by c128 m over 9 years ago

Hi,

Widening the pool a little bit with a post here, as I suspect more folk are likely to be using S3 in relation to TBS6280 card.

Basically, I'm seeing the problems here:

https://github.com/ljalves/linux_media/issues/89

I'm new to running my hardware on linux with tvheadend (although far from new to linux in general) so the only TBS drivers I've used are the latest open source ones (that have been recently updated).

Nut-shell: I just can't get successful sleep/resume - the system goes to sleep fine, but the TBS6280 DVB-T tuners time-out when used with tvheadend on resume.

I use the sleep.d script shown in the post above, and I suspect my issue is not being able to unload the cxd2820r and dvb_core modules. I'm guessing though - I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to dig into it any further.

Is anyone successfully sleeping/resuming with a TBS6280 (or similar TBS card)?
If so, are you using the latest OS drivers or can recommend an earlier release that works?
Or...any advice on how I might further diagnose the issue :-) ?

Long story short - problem solved :-) .

It was one of my own creating - my sleep.d script was never actually running, as it was a symbolic link to a file that actually sat in my home directory; it turns out symbolic links don't get resolved, and the script was just ignored.
