Remote Recording Schedule

Hi Folks,

New to this forum, not used TV HeadEnd before but intend doing so.

Can someone just confirm something for me; when I eventually set something up will I be able to set recording schedules from some remote location? eg via a mobile phone.

Yes. How you do that is more a function of your network, as you need to get a route (path) from your remote location to your server, so you're into VPNs or port forwarding. But yes, it's perfectly possible, and you've the choice of using the web interface or a third-party client for Android or iOS.

Thank you, I understand port forwarding and VPN so will have a go when I get my tuner.
