Suggestion for USB-hardware for HD-TV
Added by Thomas Novin about 14 years ago
Hi
I have a Hauppauge NOVA-T stick which works just fine but I need one more tuner and would like to have HD-quality.
I was looking at these two:
WinTV-NOVA-T-HD
http://www.hauppauge.se/site/products/data_novathdstick.html
WinTV-NOVA-TD-HD
http://www.hauppauge.se/site/products/data_novatdhdstick.html
They look quite the same just NOVA-TD-HD has a dual tuner to little extra cost.
Has anyone got experience with these two? My tvheadend system is running on Ubuntu 10.10.
I'm also open to suggestions on completely different adapters.

..and there is also this one (which I for some reason cannot find on their homepage)
Hauppauge PCTV nanostick T2 290e HD (DVB-T2)
http://www.ditii.com/2010/09/05/hauppauge-pctv-nanostick-t2-290e-hd-dvb-t2-tuner-for-pc/
Price similar to the others. Cannot find anything about Linux support for this though..

Well as can be seen in my thread "Does tvheadend support DVB-T2?" https://www.lonelycoder.com/redmine/boards/5/topics/1196 , there are some issues with the pctv nanostick 290.
But I'm using it, despite the problems, just to be sure not to touch the computer when it is recording... :)
The FireDTV that is my main receiver is rock solid, but obviously does not do T2.
