Support for FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB‑C

Added by Stefan K about 10 years ago

Hi,

there is a new dvb-c device with dual tuner for streaming into network:
http://avm.de/produkte/fritzwlan/fritzwlan-repeater-dvb-c/

Over its web interface you can choose the M3U files (e.g for use with VLC). Look like this:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,Das Erste
#EXTVLCOPT:network-caching=1000
rtsp://192.168.178.2:554/?freq=338&bw=8&msys=dvbc&mtype=256qam&sr=6900&specinv=0&pids=0,16,17,18,20,100,101,102,103,104,105,106,2070,2171

Do you think, it's possible to use tvheadend with this device? Unfortunately it isn't automatically recognized by tvh like some satip servers. Would be nice if ther were a way. :)

Stefan

Seems like necessary stuff like PIDs, Frequency, etc. are available as parameters. Go build yourself a Tvheadend binary with SAT>IP enabled and have a look at the devices tab. If the device is listed there, you could try a channel scan and see if it works.

Seems that this device is not yet SAT>IP compliant. For the vdr project, someone hacked around the current flaws, to make it work. Find some issues with workarounds here: http://www.vdr-portal.de/board16-video-disk-recorder/board55-vdr-plugins/124630-sat-ip-plugin-und-fritz-wlan-repeater-dvb-c/?s=3ce3184c002cfb00693d4176db13edcd0b30cc28

Looks like they gave it up. One of the guys sold its repeater. :(
So my last hope is that AVM makes it fully SAT>IP compliant. And nobody knows if and when...
